Due to COVID-19, all class sizes will be restricted to 10 students or less. Masks are required to be worn during class. Each student will be assigned their own mannequin during class.
Education Offerings
- {FREE} Hands Only CPR (30-45 minutes)
Hands-Only CPR is CPR without rescue breaths. If you see a teen or adult collapse, you can
perform Hands-Only CPR with just two easy steps:- Call 911 and
- Push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the Bee Gees’ classic disco song “Stayin’ Alive.” The song is 100 beats per minute – the minimum rate you should push on the chest during Hands Only CPR.

- {FREE} Stop The Bleed (30-45 minutes)
Through the STOP THE BLEED ® course, you’ll gain the ability to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene effectively. The person next to a bleeding victim may be the one who’s most likely to save him or her. Take the course and become empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency occurs. STOP THE BLEED ® . Save a Life!

A Letter of Completion issued by NRAD and signed by the instructor is available upon request only. - {FREE} Non-Certified Basic First Aid (2 hours)
In this class, we outline the most serious risks of injury or illness, assist you in developing a high level of prevention, then work with you on the skills required to save a life. This intensive training incorporates both Hands Only CPR and Stop the Bleed training and will help you respond confidently to other common injuries, and accidents. This class is ideal for scouting, homeschool coops, and youth groups.
Subjects Covered include:
Bleeding control, Head injury response, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Environmental Emergencies, Fractures and other soft tissue injuries, Response to poisoning, Stroke Recognition, Recognizing Heart Attack, Cardiac Arrest, Choking Relief.

- Heartsaver CPR, AED (3 hours) $20.00
Instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. - Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED (6 hours) $30.00
Instructor-led course that teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Second Saturday CPR
- The below listed classes are available the second Saturday of every month except January and December.
Classes are held at our Platte City location in our Education Center, located at 1000 Platte Falls Road, Platte
City, MO.Heartsaver First Aid & Stop the Bleed $20.00 (9:00am -12:00pm)
Heartsaver CPR AED $20.00 (1:00pm – 4:00pm)
Attend both Saturday class sessions and only pay $30.00
All of our classes are available for On-site instruction inside our district boarders. Minimum 2 month notice to schedule an onsite class, subject to availability.
