CPR Training
Public Education & Community Training
NRAD provides CPR, First Aid, bleeding-control, and other public education programs for individuals, community organizations, schools, scouting organizations, childcare facilities, and other groups throughout the community.
All classes and educational programs must be scheduled in advance. Payment for fee-based courses must be received no later than one week before the scheduled class date. Classes are limited to a maximum of 20 students and require a minimum of 3 students.
Classes may be cancelled due to failure to meet minimum enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances affecting safe or effective instruction. If NRAD cancels a class, payments will be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled class.
Community Education — No Course Completion Card
The following FREE educational programs are intended for scout groups, community events, homeschool groups, youth organizations, civic groups, and others who want practical lifesaving education but do not require an official course completion card for employment, licensing, or organizational requirements.
These programs must be scheduled in advance and are subject to instructor availability. A Letter of Completion issued by NRAD and signed by the instructor is available upon request.
Hands-Only CPR — FREE
30–45 minutes
Hands-Only CPR teaches participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, activate 911, and provide effective chest compressions until professional help arrives. Participants receive practical instruction and hands-on practice emphasizing immediate recognition and high-quality chest compressions.

Stop the Bleed — FREE
30–45 minutes
STOP THE BLEED® teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action before professional responders arrive. Participants learn direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application through practical hands-on instruction.

Non-Certified Basic First Aid — FREE
Approximately 2 hours
This course provides practical training for recognizing and responding to common medical emergencies and injuries. It incorporates Hands-Only CPR and bleeding-control education and is especially appropriate for scouting organizations, homeschool cooperatives, youth groups, civic organizations, and community events.
Subjects may include bleeding control, head injuries, diabetic emergencies, seizures, environmental emergencies, fractures and soft-tissue injuries, poisoning, stroke recognition, heart attack recognition, cardiac arrest, and choking relief.

AHA Heartsaver Courses
AHA Heartsaver courses are instructor-led programs intended for individuals with limited or no medical training who require an official course completion card for employment, regulatory, licensing, or other organizational requirements.
Upon successful completion, students receive the applicable American Heart Association course completion card, valid for two years.
Heartsaver CPR AED — $20 per Student
Approximately 3 hours
This instructor-led course teaches CPR, AED use, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants. Students receive hands-on skills practice with instructor evaluation and feedback.
This course is appropriate for individuals who require an official CPR/AED course completion card for employment or other requirements.
Heartsaver First Aid, CPR AED — $30 per Student
Approximately 6 hours
This comprehensive course combines Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED training and covers adults, children, and infants. Students learn to recognize and respond to common medical emergencies and injuries as well as cardiac arrest and choking.
This course is appropriate for individuals who require First Aid, CPR, and AED course completion documentation for employment, regulatory, or organizational purposes.
Pediatric-focused Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED training is also available for childcare facilities and organizations requiring training specifically focused on pediatric emergencies.
Private & On-Site Classes
NRAD can provide private or on-site CPR, First Aid, and community education programs for organizations and groups within the District.
Special private classes must be requested at least one month in advance and are subject to instructor and facility availability.
Standard class requirements apply:
- Minimum class size: 3 students
- Maximum class size: 20 students

Second Saturday CPR
NRAD offers regularly scheduled public classes on the second Saturday of each month, except January and December, at the NRAD Education Center:

Attend Both Sessions

Middle School and High School students may attend these scheduled classes free of charge.
For High School students, completion of the appropriate CPR instruction may be used to satisfy Missouri's CPR instruction requirement for high-school graduation when completed in accordance with applicable school and state requirements.
Second Saturday classes require advance registration and are limited to 20 students per class. A minimum enrollment of 3 students is required. Classes are subject to cancellation because of insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances affecting safe instruction. If NRAD cancels a paid class, payment will be refunded or transferred to a rescheduled class.
